What is a Portable WiFi?
It is an electronic device, mini enough to hold onto without difficulty, so that you can connect to the internet while traveling Korea.
Is it possible to connect more than one device?
Of course. Up to 5 simultaneous connection is valid. However, the more you hook up, the more the speed falls.
How long does the battery last?
A fully charged battery lasts around 5 to 7 hours. The device can be charged via the USB outlet or a wall outlet (both cables included).
What is the download / upload speed of a WiFi EGG?
The official speed is around 10 Mbps for WiFi KOREA Seoul and 100 Mbps for WiFi KOREA.
How can I request to deliver the WiFi EGG to my hotel?
Just leave your hotel information (if the hotel is reserved under different person, please let us know) in the “Comments” section of our reservation form, then we will send it to your hotel at no extra charge. But please note that all customers need to return the WiFi EGG to our service counter at Incheon airport.
Pick-up & Return
How can I pick up the device if I don't arrive through Incheon or Gimhae airport?
If you arrive in Korea through other airports such as Gimpo airport, or if you are already in Korea, please leave your hotel information (if the hotel is reserved under different person, please let us know) in the “Comments” section of our reservation form, then we will send it to your hotel at no extra charge. But please note that all customers need to return the WiFi EGG to our service counter at Incheon airport.
How far in advance should I book?
To ensure availability, we recommend placing your order at least 3 days prior to travel departure date – however, you can still place orders closer to your departure date. For last-minute order, please contact us for more details.
Where do I pickup and return the WiFi EGG?
Collection (and drop-off) point is located conveniently in Incheon Airport. A guidance on pickup and return is included in the confirmation email that will be sent to you upon reservation.
What is required when I collect the package at the airport?
Please show your reservation confirmation email to the staff.
Payment
I do not have PayPal account. Can I still make payment?
Yes. However, please note that PayPal has eliminated “Pay without an account” option for some countries. Therefore you might need to create an account to make payment but is simple process and super easy.
Do you accept cash or any other forms of payment apart from PayPal?
No. Currently we accept payment only through PayPal. But please note that, you don’t need to have a Paypal account to make the payment. You can use your credit or debit card to make the payment without making a Paypal account.
Deposit Refund
Do you take a deposit?
Yes. We take US$ 50 as a deposit, but it will be refunded to your credit card within 24-48 hours after your WiFi EGG is returned.
How is a refund credited?
PayPal credits the refund according to how the original payment was made.
If you used a credit card, PayPal credits your credit card. If you used a funding source other than a credit card, your PayPal balance will receive the credit. If you used both a credit card and another source, the credit card portion goes to the credit card, and the remainder goes to your PayPal balance.
Please note, refunds to credit cards can take up to 30 days to appear on your statement.
Managing your Order
Can I amend my booking information after placing an order?
If you want to change your rental dates, extend the rental period etc. after placing your order, you can of course do so. Just contact us and we’ll make the necessary arrangements.
How can I cancel my booking?
If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, you can do so without penalty before your rental date starts. After your rental date starts, we will charge a cancellation fee equal to the greater of either 20% of the total rental cost, or US$20.00. The rental fees for the period you had the device will be exempt from the refund. You will need to return the device to us on the day that you cancel your order – days where you are in possession of the device cannot be refunded.
Fair Usage Policy
What is fair usage?
“Fair usage policy is the mobile network industry’s attempt to keep the mobile traffic at a manageable level. The policies are designed to protect the people who might be affected by your downloading. If the mobile network operators decide to put Fair Usage Policy in place, the mobile network operators may do all or, any of the following : limit usage, restrict speed, and others. Please refrain from downloading massive amount of data, streaming movies, playing online games and so on. If you continue to use massive amount of data, WiFi Korea will not be responsible for any problems accessing the internet or any other restrictions placed by the mobile network operators. Should you continue to use excessive amounts of data, you will be responsible for any extra fees that might be applied by the local mobile network operators.”
